In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Africa Qualifier against Gambia, Sikandar Raza’s team drew attention by scoring a massive 344 runs. Previously, the world record for the highest score in T20 cricket was held by Nepal, who scored 314 runs against Mongolia in 2023. Among Full Member nations, Zimbabwe broke India’s record of 297 runs.
Gambia’s bowlers set unfortunate records during the match, with Musa Jorbateh conceding 93 runs in his 4 overs. Additionally, five Gambia bowlers gave away 50 or more runs.
Chasing a target of 345, Gambia’s team was bowled out for just 54 runs, and Zimbabwe won the match by a staggering margin of 290 runs.
